Our Story
Imagine sitting at a bar, beer in hand, debating sports with your own unfiltered takes wishing your voice could reach a broader audience. That’s the vision behind Shatter the Script. I founded this platform to break free from the constraints of mainstream sports media, rejecting paid-for opinions and corporate influence. Instead, my goal is to empower our audience to shape their own perspectives, fueled by interaction with our show and grounded in the factual evidence and historical context we provide in every episode.
Meet The Team
I’m a Texas native, born and raised in Montgomery, just north of Houston. As the third of four brothers, I grew up playing sports alongside them, creating cherished memories that still inspire me today. My athletic journey took me to Panola College in Carthage, Texas, where I walked on to the junior college baseball team—only to discover my swing wasn’t destined for 400-foot home runs. Shifting focus, I pursued higher education at Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Communications in December 2022.
Initially, I set my sights on a career in sports broadcasting. However, I soon realized that joining an industry rife with controlled narratives didn’t align with my values. Rather than compromise, I teamed up with my best friend to launch a podcast—an ambition many voice but few pursue. What began as a bold idea evolved into Shatter the Script, a crowdfunded platform I’m proud to lead alongside contributors Ryan May (my brother) and Jacob Clark (my cousin).
A Passion for Authentic Commentary
Along the way, I gained hands-on experience as a play-by-play announcer for my high school’s sports broadcasts—a role I enjoyed for three rewarding years. That time on the mic reinforced my commitment to genuine, unscripted sports dialogue. Today, Shatter the Script stands as a testament to that vision: a community-driven space where fans can engage, debate, and form their own takes, free from the machine of mainstream media.
